Uk zionists' multi-million pound PR plan

Last week's Jewish Chronicle (23/6/2006) proudly announced the establishment of "Israel's new lobby in the UK."

On Wednesday, the board of Bicom, the British Israel Communications and Research Centre, agreed a multi-million pound action plan to be car­ried out over the next three years through existing organisations engaged in pro-Israel advocacy. These include the Jewish Leadership Council, the Community Security Trust and all three ma­jor political Friends of Israel groups [that's Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat].

I should have posted about it then but I thought it was so silly, the idea that Israel just has a bit of a PR problem that a bit of lobbying will sort out.

Well that was before Deborah Fink had yet another letter published in the JC on that very subject.

CONSIDERING that 20 per cent of Is­raelis, including one in three chil­dren, live below the poverty line, I’m glad that Israel’s supporters feel that the best way to help Israelis to spend millions of pounds on its PR!
