What the Board of Deputies should be saying

I must apologise to readers for the fact that I didn't really take the Board of Deputies zio-demo hoax seriously enough in my previous post. Ok, it was a hoax so how seriously should we take a hoax?

You don't have to read anti-zionist blogs to know that Israel is embarked on the most heinous batch of war crimes since the same thing in Lebanon in 2006. The worst thing is when they leaflet people, directing them to places of safety and then when there are maybe over a hundred people in the safe place - booyah! Israel destroys it and all or most of the civilians inside. Israeli soldiers have turned ambulances away so that they could watch while children starve next to their mothers whose bodies are decomposing. When even the Times and the Telegraph in the UK are running articles and posts exposing Israel's crimes and running film clips of UN and Red Cross officials openly calling Israel's spokespersons liars it takes a curious life form to speak up for the racist war criminals of the State of Israel right now.

And the Board of Deputies of British Jews is organising a demonstration in favour of what Israel is doing. What kind of degenerate scum would do such a thing? Let's see that hoax cancellation again:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Board of Deputies of British Jews Cancels Sunday's Solidarity RallyThe Board of Deputies and the Jewish Leadership Council, in consultation with a coalition of prominent organisations in the Anglo-Jewish community, have decided to cancel the planned Israel Solidarity Rally, due to occur on Sunday 11th of January.

This decision has been taken after intense discussions within the community, due to a feeling that such a demonstration would not be in accordance with the Board's wish to bring the conflict to an immediate conclusion. It was thought that the demonstration might be perceived as the community taking one side in the tragic war in Gaza and Israel, and might be seen as supporting Israel's military campaign.

The Board calls for an immediate ceasefire, immediate negotiations between Israel and Hamas, and for lifting the economic blockade of Gaza, in order to allow the Gazan and Israeli people to live together in peace. There is no military solution, only a political one.

The Jewish community does not wish to be seen as a participant in the conflict, and in taking this stand we hope to be a part of the solution. The Board stands in solidarity with the besieged and injured people of Gaza, as well as the victims of terrorism in Israel, and we oppose all violence as contrary to the tenets of the Jewish religion. We would like to reach out to the British Muslim community, as well as those of no religion who have demonstrated against Israel's military campaign-we share your anguish at the destruction and loss of life caused, and hope that our action in calling off our demonstration will be a small step towards peace.

Suspicion has fallen on Jewdas and it may well be their handiwork but how could the Times have been fooled by this knowing the Board of Deputies, as surely it must? Well, it's because the hoax is so reasonable looking. Why wouldn't a community with an interest in Israel be calling for peace and not war? Why wouldn't communal leaders, even Jewish supremacists, try to halt a campaign that will have the natives and neighbours of Palestine hating Israel and all of its works for generations to come?

Only the lowest of the low could demonstrate in favour of what Israel is doing which is why is the most natural thing in the world for the UK's leading fascist grouping, the BNP, is so supportive of Israel at this time.

The fact is I was wrong to laugh at the Times for falling for this hoax. To call a halt to the atrocities in Gaza or at least to appeal to people not to applaud what Israel is doing seemed perfectly normal but the Board has plumbed new depths.

Now where's that screen grab?
