Alicia Keys Declares War for Israel

I don't know how else to explain Ha'aretz placing the report on Alicia Keys confirming her defiance of BDS calls in its Diplomacy and Defense section.  Look:

Keys rejects calls from activists, among them author Alice Walker, to boycott Israel and tells New York Times: 'I look forward to my first visit to Israel.'

It's a telling comment on why these high profile performances are so important to the racist war criminals of the State of Israel and the wider zionist movement.  It also goes a long way to explaining why BDS is so important to anti-racists campaigning against Israel.

But if the placement of the report was telling, the self-serving justification for what Alicia Keys must feel is her smart career move was as dishonest and repulsive as any I've seen:

Responding to the calls to boycott Israel, Keys said Friday to the New York Times:“I look forward to my first visit to Israel. Music is a universal language that is meant to unify audiences in peace and love, and that is the spirit of our show.”

How do you unify audiences in a segregationist state?
